Env’t body to tackle application for autogas refilling station

THE City Council committee on environment and natural resources chaired by Councilor Caesar Ian Acenas is now reviewing the application of Alfonso Sia Marketing for issuance of a social acceptability clearance for its Petron Xtend Autogas Station to be located at Osmeña St. The proposed refilling station which is exclusively for Petron products is located within the 344-square meter titled property and that no carwash servicing activities will be undertaken in the area, The Power learned. The barangau council of Brgy 21 already submitted a certificate of no objection of the proposed refilling station.The City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office had already inspected the area and recommended approval to the application.However, the technical team of CLENRO is urging the applicant to comply with the existing safety policies and guidelines set by the government agencies.
