Emano Asks Folks Not To Commit Suicide
by Raul Gra. Moldez/city Council Office
TO the poor residents in areas hit by the preparatory development works of the giant shipbuilding firm Hanjin in Tagoloan and Villanueva, Misamis Oriental, here’s a bit of advice from Vice Mayor Vicente Emano: Don’t commit suicide. Don’t lose hope.
The Vice Mayor made the advice after learning that a woman committed suicide following reports that her house would be affected by the Hanjin’s preparatory development works."Ang mga squatters sulod sa Phividec kon aduna silay problema bahin sa ilang pagpamuyo, dili unta sila magdali-dali o’ hinuon ba, maghunos sa ilang kinabuhi," said the Vice Mayor. He added: "Kon duna moy suliran, bisan ug wala na ako sa lalawigan, mahimo pa gihapon ninyong dalhon kanako. Samtang dili ako makapasalig, mangita ato sa paagi nga masolbad ang maong mga suliran."Vice Mayor Emano said his crusade to protect the poor and the downtrodden from the clutches of tyranny and oppression is still very much alive."Dili ako makapasalig sa bisan unsa, apan sa akong pagka-kanhi Gobernador, dili mausab ang kawsa, ang krusada sa pagpanalipod sa mga kabos ug sa mga dinaogdaog," stressed Vice Mayor Emano.
