Public Utilities To Probe Complaints Vs TMAF

COUNCILOR Ian Mark Nacaya, chair of the City Council committee on public utilities, said his committee will convene tomorrow afternoon to tackle the complaints of market vendors who have been allegedly maltreated by some members of the Traffic Management Assistance Force (TMAF) during the clearing operation of the sidewalk vendors along Daumar St.

The Councilor said he received several complaints which were aired through various radio stations, even as he challenged the vendors to file formal complaints or charges against the TMAF members. In an interview with The Power, Councilor Nacaya stressed that TMAF is not an organic member of the city government. Nacaya said his committee is also inviting all vendors concerned, the officers of the TMAF and the Roads and Traffic Administration administrator to shed light on the issue. (ELB)
